Crazy Horse leather, in a colour you rarely see
Most AirTag holders are silicone. This one is cut from 2 mm Crazy Horse hide — a wax-pulled leather that scratches easily and then heals, because the oils in the hide move back across the surface as you handle it. In damson purple the effect is unusual: the wax lifts to a lighter tone on every fold and edge, so the case reads almost two-tone within a few weeks of carry.
Closed with brass, not magnets
The tracker sits behind a solid brass snap rather than a magnetic flap. Magnets loosen; a snap either holds or it does not, and this one closes with a click you can hear. Brass was chosen over plated steel because it will not rust when the case lives on a bag that gets rained on.
Stitched by hand, in the Aegean
The perimeter is saddle-stitched with waxed thread. It is a slower method than machine sewing and it uses two needles working in opposite directions, which means a broken stitch stays local instead of unzipping the seam. Our workshop in Turkey’s Aegean region has been doing it this way for decades.
