It marks the page and carries the pen
A bookmark that falls out is not a bookmark. This one folds over the page and closes on itself with a pair of rare-earth magnets, so it grips tissue-thin paper and heavy cardstock with the same certainty. Turn the book upside down, drop it in a bag, stack it under three others — the page stays.
The loop is the part people keep
An elastic loop runs along the spine of the bookmark and takes a pen, a pencil or a slim highlighter. If you are the kind of reader who annotates, this removes the small daily friction of hunting for something to write with. It is the feature owners mention first.
Full-grain, saddle-stitched
Cut from full-grain hide — the outermost layer, the one with the tight fibre structure and the real grain pattern. Edges are saddle-stitched by hand with waxed thread rather than glued, because glued edges peel apart at exactly the fold line a bookmark lives on. Burgundy deepens with handling; the fold will darken first.
