The same holder, in a colour that is not black
Hunter green is an awkward colour to get right in leather. Too blue and it looks synthetic; too yellow and it turns olive within a season. This hide is dyed deep enough that the wax pull on the folds reads as a lighter forest tone rather than a different colour altogether.
Crazy Horse, and why it suits keys
Crazy Horse is full-grain leather finished with a heavy wax. Scratch it and the mark lightens; press a thumb over it and most of the mark closes up as the wax moves back. On something that lives in a pocket with keys and coins, that matters more than it would on a wallet that sits flat.
Held by a snap, not a magnet
The tracker sits behind a metal snap. Magnetic flaps work until the day they do not, and the failure is silent — you notice when the AirTag is already gone. A snap gives you a click, and the click is the confirmation.
